Senior Residents Bring Holiday Cheer to Families

MetroHealth’s Senior Health and Wellness Center

MetroHealth’s Senior Health & Wellness Center residents brightened the holidays for Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit families, delivering 50 gift bags to patients on December 22. The residents, both long-term care and rehabilitation patients, decided to give back to the community as a result of a church group led by Chaplain Sarah Samson (standing to left of tree).

At a closing blessing for the event, Samson addressed the seniors, saying, “You have put time and prayer and effort into caring for Metro’s patients and families, making a contribution to the lives of others that cannot be measured. May you all be blessed as you have stretched beyond age, ability, facility, and means in order to reach out to those around you during this holiday season.”
