Notes from the Executive Director

“In the entire circle of the year there are no days so delightful as those of a fine October, when the trees are bare to the mild heavens, and the red leaves bestrew the road, and you can feel the breath of winter, morning and evening – no days so calm, so tenderly solemn, and with such a reverent meekness in the air.” Alexander Smith

Autumn is God’s way of telling us it’s time to hunker down. The beautiful change in the foliage, apple cider, pumpkins, and cooler weather are sure signs that things have come full circle and it’s time to get ready for winter. It’s also the time of harvest and an occasion to give thanks for the blessings in our lives.

At Chaplain Partnership we are blessed by the opportunity that our ministry provides us. Our chaplains provide a listening, nonjudgmental presence that strives to help people connect with the Divine. It is an honor and a responsibility that we don’t take lightly.

We are also grateful for our many friends who support us through their generous donation of time, talent and treasure. Whether it’s attending our annual wine tasting garden party, making a donation, or taking the time to knit a blanket or sew a burial outfit for an infant, your support means everything to us. We mean it when we say “we couldn’t do it without you!”

So thank you for your friendship and support and we hope that the beauty of this autumn fills you with wonder and awe at the blessings that have been bestowed upon us.
