News of Note

Chaplain Partnership welcomes (back!) Chaplain Mary Timko, who started serving on a permanent basis at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center in July. Over the last few years, Mary has assisted Chaplain Partnership by filling in for chaplains who needed coverage if they were out for vacation or extended medical leave.

She also served as a CP chaplain for several years at Lutheran Hospital’s Alcohol and Drug Recovery Center, which opened in the Fall of 2012. Prior to that, Mary worked as a resident chaplain at St. Vincent’s Medical Center as part of her Clinical Pastoral Education program. She is completing training to become a certified chemical dependency counselor. Mary is a graduate of St. Vincent Charity Hospital’s CPE program and of Barry University, where she earned a B.A. in Theology/Philosophy.
